Sausage Pasta Sauce with Garlic Biscuits

Just a basic pasta dinner and instead of garlic bread, I made garlic biscuits! A lighter sauce with the onions, mushrooms and diced tomatoes, yet a bit chunky, heavy with garlic and a robust taste!

What You Need:
For the sauce
1 can of Del Monte sauce
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 large onion
1 can of mushrooms, or 1 package of fresh mushrooms
2 links of hot Italian sausage or sweet whatever you like
5 or more large cloves of garlic
Salt, pepper, oregano, basil, onion powder, garlic powder
Box of pasta

For the biscuits
2 1/4 Cups Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon + 1 Tablespoon Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt
6 Tablespoons Butter
3/4 Cup Buttermilk
2 cloves fresh crushed garlic

Start by browning your sausage links in a large pan with a little canola oil.
Once they start to turn gray, remove them from the pan and slice up thin.
Return them back to the pan until they are thoroughly grey all the way through, and even start to brown a bit on the outsides and insides.
Open your can of sauce and add to a large sauce cooking pan.
Slice and dice up your onion and add to the sauce, also slice your mushrooms and toss them in too.
Open the can of diced tomatoes, drain them, and add to the sauce. Add in your sausages.
Spice up your sauce with salt, pepper, oregano  basil, garlic and onion powder and add in all of your garlic, crush it or slice it up tiny, however you like your garlic in your sauce.
simmered my sauce for about 3 hours on low medium setting, the sauce was bubbling lightly  and I stirred occasionally  adding salt and pepper when needed.
During the last 20 minutes of the sauce simmering, I made my biscuits!
I topped the finished baking biscuits with some melted butter and left in the oven, turn the oven off and allow it to cool with the finished buttered biscuits inside, absorb that butter!!
Boil your pasta, drain it and add some butter to the noodles! Now you are ready have an awesome pasta dinner! Don't forget to add some Parmesan cheese on top!

Biscuits
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Mix everything in a large bowl.
Once the mixture is thoroughly mixed, remove from the bowl and knead the dough.
The dough will be very stiff and a little hard to work with at first, but you'll get it!
Once the dough is kneaded and mixed enough, form palm sized small biscuits, there should be enough for 15.
Place on a cookie baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the oven, eat and enjoy!!
